New Moon in Aquarius – starting your revolution. Age of Aquarius – message of hope and optimism. Mercury Retrograde on Valentine’s Day, will it ruin your love life?

 On February 11, 2021, at 11:06 AM, PT Sole e Luna comes together for a passionate embrace in Water Bearer's sign known for its ingenuity and spiced with provocative idealism. This time around, the lunar goddess will be greeted by a full procession of six visible celestial bodies impatiently crying for "liberty, fraternity, and equality"; reminding us that revolutions are necessary for the advancement of humankind.

The upcoming week's highlight is the beginning of the traditional Lunar New Year (Year of the Metal Ox) festivities celebrated by Asian communities around the globe, followed by Valentine's Day. 

The planetary configurations of Valentine's Day may challenge us with a frustrating Mercurial backspin, but hopefully, we can avoid a major heart break by taking appropriate actions. Beware that while Mercury RX may bring messages from your former lovers, it can also open old wounds and provoke arguments, especially when triggered by a square from Mars/Uranus. Be gentle and kind to your loved ones, avoid disputes if you can. Everyone is tired of pandemic rules, fake news, conspiracy theories, political shenanigans, and financial pressures. Our coping strategies and patience are exhausted.

Additionally, look out for financial scams, do not sign any important documents unless you read the fine print. If you already started working on your tax returns, be vigilant of new laws, contact your accountant, check your calculations twice. If you can, postpone filing until Mercury turns direct on February 21. Same advice - if you need to have a difficult conversation with your partner, wait until Mercury goes direct. 

So, what is left for us to do? Between happy hours on Zoom, amazon shopping, and virtual travel, what can you do to spice up your love relationship? Take a trip in the memory lane? Go outside to look at the stars; the new moon is the perfect time for stargazing as the sky is super dark. Build a snowman/woman, drink some bubbly or hot cocoa. Gentleman, do you have difficulty finding an appropriate gift? Dare to try something different, offer to paint her nails or give her a foot massage, be creative and adventurous. And ladies, let him hunt those space aliens, so much less dangerous than looking for a parking space in the local mall during the COVID epidemic. Most importantly, whatever you do, bring some humor into your life. As Mark Twain said, "The human race has only one effective weapon, and that is laughter."
